Welcome to Synoteca Digital! By accessing or using our website at www.synoteca.com and aidea.synoteca.com. ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site for lawful purposes only. You must not misuse our Site, including but not limited to hacking or sending harmful content.
2. Intellectual Property
All content, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Synoteca Digital and is protected by intellectual property laws.
3. User Accounts
3.1 User Responsibility
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information and for all activities under your account.
3.2 Minimum Age
You must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required to consent to use the Services in your location, whichever is higher.
4. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.
5. Account Cancellation And Termination
5.1 User-Initiated Cancellation
You may cancel your Synoteca account at any time by contacting us at support@synoteca.com. Upon cancellation:
Your access to the Services, including any AI Services, will end immediately at the end of your current billing period (for paid accounts) or immediately for Free accounts.
You remain responsible for any outstanding fees or charges incurred before cancellation.
No refunds, credits, or prorated returns will be provided for unused time, service interruptions, or partial subscription periods unless required by applicable law.
5.2 Termination by Synoteca Digital
Synoteca Digital reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, deactivate, or permanently terminate your account or access to the Services, with or without notice, if:
you violate or breach these Terms, the Privacy Notice, or any applicable law;
your use of the Services poses a security risk or may disrupt service to other users;
your payment for Syno AIdea Pro subscription or other service subscription fails or remains overdue; or
Synoteca Digital discontinues the Services or certain features.
5.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination or cancellation of your account:
all rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease;
access to your data, projects, and any AI-generated content may be deleted or made inaccessible;
Synoteca Digital may, but is not obligated to, retain certain data for legal, accounting, or compliance purposes.
You acknowledge that Synoteca Digital shall not be liable for any loss of data or content resulting from account termination or cancellation.
5.4 Reinstatement
If your account is terminated for violation of these Terms, Synoteca Digital may, at its discretion, allow reinstatement only after full review and written approval. Previously deleted data may not be recoverable.
5.5 Changes and Discontinuation
Synoteca Digital reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Free or Pro subscription offerings, or the Services as a whole, at any time and without prior notice. In such cases, Synoteca Digital shall have no liability for any resulting loss of access, data, or functionality.
6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia.

8. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
This Acceptable Use Policy (‘AUP’) sets out the rules and guidelines for using our services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Any violation may result in suspension or termination of your account, without refund.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use our services for:
- Illegal Activities
- Hosting or distributing pirated software, copyrighted material, or illegal content.
- Using the services for fraud, phishing, identity theft, or money laundering.
- Network Abuse
- Launching DDoS attacks, port scanning, or attempting unauthorized access.
- Running open mail relays or mass mailing software (spam).
- Security Risks
- Hosting malware, ransomware, or viruses.
- Running botnets or command-and-control servers.
- Resource Abuse
- Mining cryptocurrency (unless specifically allowed).
Our Rights as Provider
- Right to monitor, investigate, and take action.
- Right to suspend/terminate without prior notice if the AUP is violated.
- Refunds will be denied for AUP violations.
Customer Responsibilities
- Keep login credentials secure.
- Regularly patch/update your software.
- Ensure the use complies with local and international laws.
Changes to the AUP
- Reserve the right to update the AUP.
- Notify customers via email or call when changes occur.
9. Refund Policy
9.1 NAS Service
Money-Back Guarantee
- We offer a 7 day money-back guarantee on first time service subscription.
- Refunds are available only if requested within the guarantee period and if the services has not been used in violation of our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
We will refund the monthly subscription fee to customer under the following conditions:
- Unable to access our services for more than 1 hour due to our technical issues.
- Inability to access our services during the first 7 days of service under the money-back guarantee.
We will not provide refund to customer under the following conditions:
- account suspended or termination for violating our Acceptable Use Policy(Eg: Abuse, Spamming, illegal activities).
- additional services such as setup fee, migration, or consulting.
9.2 Virtual Private Server/Syno AIdea
No refund will be issued to partially utilised subscription of syno aidea and virtual private server service and you may contact payment@synoteca.com if incorrect payment for example below:
- if you have been charged for wrong amount
- double-billed
- you did not received the paid-services
9.3 Reseller Brand
You acknowledge and agree that from time to time, some items sold by us may become out of stock or unavailable and we may not be able to fulfill all or part of your order. If this occurs, we may choose to source the item or contact you within seven (7) Working Days to arrange for a full refund in form of credit note unless otherwise agreed by both parties and your request for different mode of refund shall be made to us immediately within two (2) working days upon us issuing the credit note. Your receipt of your refund will depend on the period of time it takes your financial institution to finalise the refund. We will not liable with respect to any loss you or any third party might suffer as a result of any delay in processing your refund.
You must not make order or accept the terms of these Terms and Conditions if you are a person who is either barred or otherwise legally prohibited from make order under the laws Malaysia. If you violate any of the Terms and Conditions, your rights hereunder will immediately terminate and we may forfeit your deposit or the Products without notice and without refund to you and we disclaim all liabilities in respect of any damage or loss that you may suffer as a result Notwithstanding the foregoing, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to limit or deny you make order for the Product sell by us, at any time and for any reason, including for violation of these Terms and Conditions.
Where an item which forms an order or part of an order has been withdrawn or suspended from sale and your payment for the item has already been processed, we will use reasonable endeavours to refund any money paid to us in respect of that item within seven (7) Working Days. Your receipt of your refund will depend on the period of time it takes your financial institution to finalise the refund. We are not liable with respect to any loss you or any third party might suffer as a result of any delay in processing your refund.
Deposits are required to confirm orders. All deposits are non-refundable and will be forfeited if the order is cancelled for any reason by the customer.
The deposit may, at the Company's sole discretion, be applied as part payment towards the final purchase price upon successful completion of the order.
9.4 Discretion
Synoteca Digital reserves the right to decline refund requests if there is evidence of fraud, abuse, or excessive refunds claimed in the past.
9.5 Refund Request Process
- To request a refund, please contact payment@synoteca.com with your account details and reason for cancellation.
- Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method.
10. Price Change
We reserve the right to change the prices listed on our website at any time, as well as the amount of resources allocated to plans. Customers with contract pricing will not be affected by any price changes during the contract period.
11. Use Of AI Services
11.1 Definition of "AI Services"
In these Terms, “AI Services” means any functionality or service provided by Synoteca Digital that makes use of artificial intelligence, machine-learning, natural language generation, or similar automated technologies (“AI”) to generate, transform, analyse or otherwise process input provided by you or other users, including any “Output” produced by the AI.
11.2 Account Types And Access
AI Services may be made available under different account tiers, including Free and Pro (paid) subscription accounts. The scope of AI functionality, usage limits, data processing priority, or available models may differ between account types. Synoteca Digital reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
modify or limit access to certain AI features or capacities for any account type;
introduce new AI features, plans, or usage tiers;
change or discontinue existing AI features, credits, or limits; and
adjust the applicable pricing, restrictions, or entitlements for Free or Pro accounts.
Such changes may be made at any time and without prior notice. Your continued use of the AI Services after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms and conditions applicable to your account type.
11.3 Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge and agree that AI is a rapidly evolving technology, and Synoteca Digital makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding
(a) the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any Output generated by the AI Services;
(b) compliance of the AI Services or Output with applicable laws or regulations; or
(c) the uninterrupted performance of the AI Services. Your use of the AI Services and any reliance on the Output are at your sole risk.
11.4 Appropriate Use
When using the AI Services, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and these Terms. You must not:
upload or submit any input that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harmful, discriminatory, or otherwise violates third-party rights;
rely on AI-generated Output for high-risk or legally binding decisions without independent verification; or
misrepresent AI-generated content as entirely human-produced when it is not.
11.5 Input, Output, and Intellectual Property
You are solely responsible for any Input provided to the AI Services. Synoteca Digital (and its licensors) retain all rights to the AI models, systems, and software underlying the AI Services. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you are granted a limited licence to use the Output generated for your authorised purposes. Synoteca Digital does not claim ownership of your Input or Output, but does not guarantee that the Output will be free of third-party rights or suitable for your specific use.
11.6 Data, Privacy, and Third-Party Components
Where you provide Input that includes personal data or confidential information, you represent that you have all necessary rights and permissions to do so. The AI Services may incorporate third-party AI models or services; Synoteca Digital disclaims all responsibility for performance, content, or security issues arising from those components.
11.7 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synoteca Digital’s liability in connection with the AI Services and any Output is subject to the same limitation provisions set out in Section 4 (Limitation of Liability). Synoteca Digital shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of or reliance on the AI Services or any Output.
11.8 Changes to AI Services and Terms
Synoteca Digital may modify, suspend, or discontinue the AI Services (in whole or in part), or adjust the terms, features, or pricing structure, at any time and without prior notice. Updated terms will take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the AI Services following any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Voucher Validity
All vouchers issued to customers by Synoteca Digital are valid for one (1) month from the date of issuance, unless otherwise stated. Expired vouchers cannot be redeemed, extended, replaced, or refunded under any circumstances.
