Amazon Web Services
AWS for Malaysian businesses
We plan, build and run Amazon Web Services environments for companies in Malaysia. Migrations, architecture and security reviews, cost control, and the day to day operations once it is live.
The AWS account stays yours. You pay Amazon directly, we work inside it, and you can take the keys back at any time. Our founders are AWS certified.
What we do on AWS
Four kinds of work, whether you are moving on to AWS or already there.
Migration to AWS
Moving what you run today, on-premise or on another cloud, on to AWS. Planned in stages so the business keeps working while it happens.
Cost optimisation
Finding out where the bill actually goes, then right-sizing, cleaning up what nobody uses and putting the savings plans in place that fit your usage.
Architecture and security review
A read of what you have now against how AWS is meant to be used: redundancy, backups, access control and the failure modes nobody has tested yet.
Managed operations
Keeping it running after go-live: monitoring, patching, backups that get restored from, and someone to call when something breaks.
Where teams usually need help
If one of these sounds like your situation, it is a good time to talk.
The bill keeps climbing and nobody knows why
Usually a handful of causes: instances sized for a load test that never ended, storage nobody deleted, and no savings plan. We find them, quantify them and tell you what changing each one is worth.
It all runs on one server and the backup is untested
The most common setup we meet, and the most expensive one to discover the hard way. We work out what breaks first, then add redundancy and a restore you have actually watched work.
We are moving off our own hardware
Ageing servers, an expiring lease, or an office move. We map what runs on them, decide what moves as-is and what gets rebuilt, and sequence it so nothing goes dark.
We want to use AI on our own data
Somewhere between a chatbot demo and production. We look at where the data lives, what it costs to serve, and what AWS gives you before anything custom is built.
How we work
The same four steps as the rest of our consulting.
First call
What you are running, what hurts, and whether AWS is even the right answer.
Assessment
We go through the account or the current setup properly: what runs, what it costs, what is exposed.
Recommendation
Written, with options and what each one costs to do and to run.
Build or hand over
We do the work, or document it so your team can. We can stay on for operations afterwards.
RM150
per hour, consultancy rate
What you pay, and to whom
- Advisory, reviews and assessments are billed by the hour
- Migrations and builds are quoted as a fixed scope after the assessment
- AWS usage is billed to you by Amazon directly, at their prices
We do not mark up your cloud bill, so cutting it is not a cost to us. See IT consulting for how the advisory work runs.
Common questions
Whose AWS account is it?
Yours. You own the account and pay Amazon directly at their published prices. We work inside it with the access you grant, and you can revoke that access whenever you want.
Can you take over something already running?
Yes, and it is most of what we do. We start by documenting what is actually there, which is often not what the last person left behind in a diagram.
Which region should we run in?
It depends on where your users are, whether your data has to stay in the country, and which services you need, since not every service is in every region. We work it out during the assessment.
Is AWS the right choice for us?
Not always. For some workloads a Synology box on site, or a smaller host, is cheaper and simpler. We would rather say so on the first call than migrate you into a bill you did not need.
Send us your AWS bill
Or your architecture diagram, or just the problem. One call is usually enough to tell you whether there is money or risk on the table. Kuala Lumpur, Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1800 (UTC+8).
